Security experts from industry, government, and academia agree that weak passwords represent one of the ten most critical Internet security threats. But while hackers had developed tools to crack passwords, IT departments lacked an easily to use platform to audit and remedy their vulnerability. As @stake product manager for L0phtcrack I worked to:
- Rebrand the L0phtCrack utility for corporate use ("LC3"), winning >100 Fortune 500 customers.
- Market the product to mid-level IT, doubling sales volume, and winning Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine’s Editor’s Choice award (Security category), and W2Knews Target Award (Security Utilities category).
- Define a customer satisfaction program that halved support costs, and drove future product requirements.
